Wilderness First Aid (formerly Advanced Wilderness & Remote First Aid) is a 40-hour course designed for professional guides, parks officials and/or people that work in fields such as recreation and ecotourism. You will learn skills and strategies for providing extended care overnight to a few days through learning activities and scenarios with real-life situations specifically designed for wilderness and remote environments.

Remote First Aid
The Canadian Red Cross Remote First Aid (formerly Wilderness & Remote First Aid) is designed for individuals who live or work in non-urban, remote or wilderness workplaces or communities. You will learn skills and strategies for providing care in a remote setting for up to 24 hours through learning activities and scenarios with real-life situations specifically designed for wilderness and remote environments.
Course Length: 2.5 days (20 hours)
Cost: $350 + GST
Wilderness First Responder
This course is designed for rescuers who specialize in decision-making, evacuation, and transport in a remote or wilderness setting. It is suitable for those who work in remote emergency services, remote worksites, ski patrol, search and rescue or anyone who spends extensive time working, playing, or adventuring in remote environments. As a Wilderness First Responder you will be trained to a professional standard, including being able to use professional tools such as oxygen, airway adjuncts, and more! After your WFR course, you will certainly have a wealth of knowledge that will allow you to confidently and competently manage all kinds of accidents and medical emergencies, wherever they appear. This course is designed to be intensive and challenging- training you can rely on and an experience you won’t forget!
